Yo nací para oir country, y el country nació justamente para ser escuchado por mí. Americana/CountryAlternativo, de la más alta calidad. No Mainstream, ni jueguecillos baratos. Whiskeytown lanzó en el 97', uno de mis discos favoritos, lo hicieron para mí, cada rola, llega a ser el soundtrack de cosas que he vivido y quiero vivir. Pero precisamente ahorita, dos son las rolas, de las menos transportadas y pasadas, las que generan eso mismo, el soundtrack de cosas muyy mías.

Ryan dejó el proyecto, después de ser lanzado "Pneumonia", el último disco de Whiskeytown, lanzado almercado. En especial, parte de la formula que mantenia a la banda, era el peculiar estilo de blues, country, y adheresos rock, que fusionaban el estilo que los pioneros Uncle Tupelo, lograron iniciar a inicios de los 90tas. Stranger Almanac, fué relanzado en 2008, después de cumplir casi 11 años de su lanzamiento original, el 29 de Julio de 1997.
